15: Beyond the Gate: The Last Gozzaki Chapter 15: The Price of Trust 15: Beyond the Gate: The Last Gozzaki Chapter 15: The Price of Trust Chapter 15: The Price of Trust The cavern was a symphony of screams and clashing steel, but Xyron stood perfectly still.

Leaning against a jagged rock, he watched the chaos with a cold, almost bored expression.

The Giant Ant Boss was a nightmare in motion, its mandibles snapping through armor like it was paper.

“Help us, you bastard!” Chul screamed, dodging a spray of corrosive acid.

“Do something!” Xyron didn’t move.

A faint, mocking smile played on his lips.

“Why do you need my help, Captain?

You said it yourself—you hate weak people.

I’m just a ‘Rank 6’ loser, remember?

Surely a great Rank 2 like you can handle a bug.” “When I’m done with this monster, you’re next!” Chul roared, though his eyes were wide with terror.

In the back of the cave, Kim was frantically digging through the carcasses of dead monsters, his hands stained with ichor.

Chul had ordered him to collect rare stones even while the team was dying.

Suddenly, the Boss lunged.

With a sickening crunch, it bit Sataro—the Rank 3 knight—clean in half before swallowing his upper torso.

Chul felt his soul tremble.

If a Rank 3 was gone in seconds, he stood no chance.

He threw a desperate dagger at the monster.

To his shock, the dagger didn’t just hit; it sliced through the monster’s armored leg with the force of a cannonball.

Chul didn’t realize it, but Xyron had flicked his fingers, using Telekinesis to boost the dagger’s momentum.

Every time a knight swung their sword, Xyron secretly amplified the impact.

Kim, momentarily looking up from his task, saw it.

He saw Xyron’s eyes glowing blue and his hand moving in sync with the attacks.

His blood ran cold.

‘Xyron is…

he’s a monster,’ Kim thought, trembling.

He quickly looked away, pretending to work.

He was terrified that if Xyron knew he’d been seen, he would be the next one to die.

Suddenly, the Giant Ant Boss shrieked.

Its body began to glow with a violent, unstable light.

“GET DOWN!” Xyron yelled, finally moving.

BOOM!

A massive energy blast erupted from the Boss, a self-destruct move that leveled the entire chamber.

The shockwave was so intense that Michael, Miru, and the other knights were vaporized instantly—their bodies turning into ash before they could even scream.

The monster itself disintegrated into dust.

Xyron moved like a blur, standing in front of Kim and creating a shield of pure soul energy.

Kim was untouched, but the cave was a ruin.

Chul crawled out from under a pile of rubble, his right arm missing from the shoulder down.

Blood was gushing from the stump.

He looked at the empty space where his team used to be, then at Xyron, who was standing perfectly fine next to Kim.

“You…

you had this power all along,” Chul hissed, his voice trembling with a mixture of agony and rage.

He picked up his sword with his remaining hand, stumbling toward Xyron.

“If you had helped…

my team would be alive.

My arm would still be here!

I’ll kill you!” Chul swung his blade at Xyron’s neck with his last bit of strength.

Xyron didn’t even blink.

The sword hit his skin and stopped, unable to leave even a scratch.

Xyron responded with a single, lightning-fast kick to Chul’s chest.

CRACK.

Chul flew across the cave, crashing into a stone wall.

Xyron walked toward him, his expression murderous.

He reached down and gripped Chul by the throat, lifting the one-armed man into the air.

“You’re a pathetic excuse for a leader,” Xyron whispered.

Suddenly, a sharp, searing pain exploded in Xyron’s back.

He looked down and saw a jagged, glowing Rare Stone protruding from his chest.

It had been driven all the way through his body.

Xyron gasped, his grip on Chul loosening.

He turned his head slightly to see Kim standing behind him, his face pale and eyes watering.

“I’m sorry, Xyron…” Kim sobbed, his hands shaking.

“But I need my brother’s trust.

I can’t let him die.

You’re too dangerous.” Xyron collapsed to his knees, blood bubbling from his mouth.

Chul, now free, let out a hysterical laugh.

He grabbed Xyron by the hair, standing him up, and delivered a massive, energy-infused punch straight to Xyron’s face.

Xyron’s head slammed into a jagged rock.

The sound of bone hitting stone echoed through the cave as blood began to pour down his face.

His vision went dark.

Editor’s Comment: Bhai, ye toh bohot bada dhoka ho gaya!

Xyron ne Kim ki jaan bachayi aur Kim ne usi ki peeth mein chura (stone) ghonp diya.

Chul ab apni saari bharras Xyron par nikal raha hai.

Par kya in dono ko pata hai ke Xyron ko marna itna asaan nahi hai?

Especially jab uske andar ‘Ryon’ baitha hai?
