Beyond the Gate: The Last Gozzaki

Chapter 65: The Fall of the Secret Weapon

The arena was no longer a tournament ring; it was a slaughterhouse. Yuhima stood up, her voice echoing through the VIP booth. “CHAIRMAN! Stop this madness! You’re letting them die out there! Don’t you see what’s happening?”

Chairman Kill Zero didn’t even look at her. He kept his eyes fixed on Yujo. “Sit down, Yuhima. Real battles aren’t 1v1 duels with rules. This is war. Besides, Yujo is more than enough to handle these pests.”

[In the Arena]

The fight was a chaotic blur. The South Korean knights and the Pakistani duo, Zubair and Hamza, realized Yujo was the biggest threat. In a shocking move, they formed a temporary alliance.

Yujo laughed, dodging their combined strikes with ease. He was dominating, his movements fluid and mocking. But he got careless. While he was busy parrying Kang-Dae’s spear, Zubair broke away from the group. He lunged at the crippled, bleeding Adam.

CRACK!

With one final, bone-shattering blow to the chest, Zubair delivered the “Last Breath” strike. Adam’s eyes went dull. The leader of the Wonders Guild was dead.

“ADAM!” Yujo roared, his playfulness replaced by a demonic rage. “You’ll pay for that, you desert rat!”

Yujo went on a rampage. He moved so fast the cameras couldn’t track him. In seconds, the remaining South Korean knights were torn apart—literally. One Pakistani knight, Hamza, was heavily injured, his ribs crushed and blood dripping from his mouth.

“Give up and leave,” Yujo hissed, standing over him. “Or die like the rest.”

Hamza wiped the blood from his lips and struggled to his feet. “Giving up is not a part of my life.”

In a selfless move, Hamza touched Zubair’s shoulder, transferring his remaining soul energy into his partner. “Finish him, Zubair.”

Hamza charged at Yujo one last time, acting as a distraction. Yujo, blinded by rage, prepared a lethal counter-attack to kill Hamza. But just as his blade was about to pierce Hamza’s heart, the figure dissolved into smoke.

It was a clone.

“NO! YUJO, LOOK OUT!” the Chairman screamed, standing up from his seat.

The real Zubair appeared behind Yujo. With a swift, brutal motion of his soul-blade, he sliced through Yujo’s left arm. SHINK! The arm hit the dirt. Before Yujo could even scream, Zubair locked him in a chokehold, his massive arm cutting off Yujo’s oxygen and energy flow.

Yujo struggled, his face turning blue, his remaining hand clawing at Zubair’s arm. But it was useless. Without air or an arm, he couldn’t cast his healing spells.

“I… I lose…” Yujo wheezed, the words tasting like ash.

Zubair released him. Yujo collapsed, clutching his bleeding stump, and staggered out of the ring in total humiliation.

[The VIP Booth]

“No… not Yujo…” the Chairman whispered, his face pale. “Our secret weapon… defeated.”

“Looks like your ‘Real Fight’ didn’t go as planned,” a voice mocked.

Yuito entered the room, his hands in his pockets. He looked at the Chairman with pure contempt. “Your team is losing, the world is watching Japan crawl in the dirt, and you’re still sitting there like a king. Pathetic.”

“Shut up, Yuito!” the Chairman snapped. He turned to Yuhima, his eyes desperate. “Yuhima… you’re our last hope. If you don’t win this, Japan is finished.”

Editor’s Comment:

The unthinkable has happened. Yujo, the man Japan banked its entire future on, has been crippled and defeated. The Pakistani team’s strategy of sacrifice and clones has cleared the field. Now, Yuhima stands alone against Zubair and a world that thinks Japan is weak. But in the shadows of the stadium, the man in the hoodie is finally standing up. He’s seen enough of this ‘trash’ fight.
